OMG i about eric but theres definately a spoiler button for givin info. Besides you never know nowadays they always change it from the book. I haven’t read the books but im sure the shows different.
i can sum up that episode in one statement:
why did Godric have to die? his character was so rich, yet they barely explored his role with in the vampire world. did his outlook reflect the thoughts of other vampires of his age? was he unique in his assessments? shame. still hooked on the series though…bloody brilliant!
..Btw: i was talking about episode 9, my mistake
i suppose i would have been nice to see who made godric, 2000 years would be big a back story, but still would have been nice to see a bit more depth,

In the books Godric was a troubled vampire because he had killed and molestered children through a lot of his life and wanted to be free of his guilt and that is why he wanted to die.
End of the spoiler.
But I do agree that it would have been good for Godric to have helped them out with Maryann.
It was so funny watching Sookie looking at Eric sideways through that meeting, after sucking the bullet from his chest.
And seeing Eric being so distroght when he knew his maker was going to die, was very heart breaking. To see this other side of him where he acts so caring.
i agree i shed a thousand tears with him… that was by far the most hearfelt sad ep yet… other that sea. 1 when gran died besides that it was very heartfelt…

I admit a couple of tears slipped for Godric on my end! I was soo sad! Plus how are they going to kill maryanne now? Will the T.V. leader vamp step in? or what about the cure to her poison from when she tried to kill sookie? OMG sooo excited for next week!

Hair is dead tissue. It doesn’t regenerate from any point other than the root. Besides, he appears less 90’s boy-band now – who’s complaining?
That irks me as well about the hair. In the books, Bill makes a comment about how he was glad that he had shaved before he was made vampire because if he hadn’t he would have spent the rest of his life with a beard. It seem to be that way with most vampire stories, that they are as the were made forever.
i have to agree with the eric and sookie thing though…it is cute. and yea bill isn’t her type it seems like, eric wants her bad it’s so obvious. O_O
im on book 8 i think eric and sookie end up back together i love it … ever since she saved him at the summit i think she is in love with him she just doesnt realize it yet i cant wait a year till next season GRRRRRR…. i’d love to be sookie on that show since she beds eric… Hellz Yeah

Had a really nasty hang over today then realised its almost time for ep 10 and i perked right up!!! Cant wait!!! I really need to work on my patience issues. I cant wait for the next sookie novel out may 2010 either.
That was soooooo good True Blood is my Crack!!!! Godrick’s storyline was by far the most intresting and he had the most interesting character development why did they kill him off?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So do you think Erick and Godrick were lovers before. Anyone know from the books? Anna Paquin is one lucky girl!

Yes in the books Eric does say that him and Godric had been lovers.
In the books it was also said that Godric was majorly depressed because of all the bad things he had done in his 2000yrs of life. Including raping and killing children. So he wanted to commit suicide, and was happy to go.
So I gather that is why they killed him off on the series too.
I can’t wait to see who they get to play Alcide and Quinn, if they bring them in from the books.
Look forward to seeing the next episode too.

I don’t get why everyone is so sad about Godrick, you knew he had offered himself when they had no idea how the fellowship of the sun had caught him. He was always just a minor character that would eventually disappear. OMG the scene with eric and sookie is so HOT! I really want them to get together but i’d be so heart broken for Bill if they did. Can’t wait till the episode comes out! Is it just me or is Jason really hot too? omg i can’t believe my stepmom has worked on a movie with eric! Its unfair he’s too hot! just about 6 hours till the episode comes! YAY!!
If you have read the books then you will know why sookie ends up with Eric and not Bill.

Sookie ends up with Eric because Bill actually had sex with Lorana and she finds out that the Queen actually sent Bill to seduce her into helping them.

Personally I luuuuvvvved seeing Eric in bed!!! That being said I really wanted Sookie to say something that would have had godric change his mind about suicide. He seemed like one of the only “sane”-leavel headed characters like Gran was in season 1. And I feel the same for both. THey weren’t in the stoiesr very long but they gave the impression of a presance and insight that will forever be missed by those who knew and loved them.

That surely was a shocked look on Bill’s face when he saw the queen with blood dripping down her foot, or maybe it was someone that she was feeding on. Can’t wait til next week to find out. I want to know what Sookie did to Maryann, because that was interesting.

I don’t think its a new power, as everyone knows people who have abilities aren’t technically human, so Maryann can’t control them. I believe what Sookie did was block her control with her mind powers, almost like a shield

I think Sookie and Bill is probably a smarter/safer relationship. I think Eric is more passionate and underhanded. He will put her in danger more often and they will fight more often but they will be very passionate together. It’s the age old choice, do we pick the safe, well grounded man, or do we pick the hotter bad boy. I always picked the bad boy and am still single. LOL but boy did I have fun. Eric will make for a more interesting show.

Nopo, we have met Bill’s maker, did you forget those scenes? lol It’s Lorena the crazy phsycho stalker vampire. Unless you are trying to say Lorena is the Queen but that’s not possible, Godrick would not have talked to her the way he did when she attacked Sookie. Nor would he have kicked her out of the vampire house in Dallas.
