We live a world where Vampires are more prevalent than friendly neighbours, and Twilight a more popular time of the day than the early sunny afternoon. with Vampire Diaries, True Blood, Twilight, etc,etc, are we suffering from vampire fatigue? Yes, and no.
Yes, shows like vampire diaries and twilight will soon fade into the dusk (or twilight) of popular culture.
No, True Blood is something different. Something special. It’s darker, deeper, more tongue-in-cheek (or neck).
True Blood is lifeblood. And, I hope it lives forever – like the greatest vampires.
They may fad, but in time more will come along to take their place. Personally, I watch and enjoy all of them for their differences, and similarities. The sci-fi genre is my favorite I’d watch whether it was vampires, werewolves, dragons, people with superhuman strength, blue people on another planet, or talking bunnies. LOL
Everything fades sooner or later, the Roman Empire did, so will our entire culture. It’s ineluctable.
For the vampire culture it comes and goes, started in the 19th century, came back in force with Anne Rice, and now with Twilight.
I don’t care really what happens but just get rid of Twilight!
Agreed. Twilight may have started it, but now I want it to finish.
there are only so many books so it ought to be gone soon. unless they make a tv show O.O or god forbid an immediate remake
