SO we did not get an episode of True Blood this weekend because of the fourth of July. It was driving me crazy not being able to see the next episode  so I decided to write a blog  because I have seen many comments about how they don’t understand why True Blood did not show a episode this weekend.

Well there are worse things instead of crying over one extra week we should be grateful for the soldiers fighting to give us the RIGHT to watch shows like true blood because without our freedom we may not have the right to do so. So let’s talk about the soldiers today. Well I hope everyone enjoyed their Holiday and remembered to be thankful for our Heroes while shooting off fireworks and grilling out. Unfortunately I think sometime we get lost in the fun crazy weekend off work and forget what we actually are supposed to be thinking of on the fourth. The fourth of July is when we should be thanking our hero’s for our freedom because without them we would not be free. Remember that freedom and out independence is not a god given right but a gift given by our soldiers who have past away in the many Political scuffles our country has suffered since our country won it’s independence as well as thanking those who are still alive and are going back and forth between being deployed overseas for months and coming home to spend such a short amount of time with their families before going back overseas.

For those of you who have lost someone you love to this war all I can say is I am truly sorry, I CAN actually say I know how you feel when I was barely 18 The love of my life was killed in the war in Iraq. I know how hard it is to go to bed every night  knowing that the love of your life will never hold you in their arms again. Never kiss your tears away during hard times. Never Just hold your hand because they feel like it. Never bring you yellow roses simply because he loves you. You will never hear them say the words I love you again. Yes I know all of this hurts and you feel like you just cant go on another second without the person you love trust me I know because I was there. People say time heals all wounds and that is a lie. It will never “heal” this wound over time it will get easier to deal with. You will wake up one day and realize your going to be ok. No you will never forget your love and even years after you lose them there may still be times when you get sad and miss them more than anything and you may even slip back into that dark place for a time. However with the right support system as well as strength and courage you will pull yourself out of this funk and be ok for another day. So remember even if you have not lost someone to this war that there are people who have and remember there are still soldiers over there and there families are still here waiting for them to come on. So remember to think about and thank the soldiers as well as their friends and family who have done without them so that we could remain free.

Finally don’t just think about soldiers and there loved ones on memorial days or the 4th or veterans day or days we are “supposed” to remember them but everyday. Every time  you see a soldier remember to thank them and give them the respect that they deserve because your freedom isn’t free it comes with a huge price and you’re not the one who has to pay it. So thank a soldier every chance you get! and hope every one had a happy and safe fourth!
